Uruguay is a safe, peaceful country that is small in size and population - however, that is a good characteristic for duck hunting. First, the hunting population and pressure is low, which means more ducks and more outstanding duck hunting during the entire Uruguay duck hunting season. The standard Uruguay duck hunting trip is 3 to 5 days in length. Duck hunters will fly into Montevideo, Uruguay (MVD) by an overnight flight that departs about 11 PM from Miami. Currently American Airlines is the only carrier that flys direct from Miami to Montevideo (about 9 hours); however, as more and more duck hunters see the value of duck hunting in Uruguay, we are sure the airlines will also support the popularity of Uruguay duck hunting.

Check List for the Uruguay Duck Hunting Trip:

• Get your week reserved: May - June - July - August --depart the states on a Friday evening and arrive Saturday morning. Our recommendation is American Airlines flight AA 989 from MIA (Miami) to MVD (Montevideo). You will arrive Montevideo on Saturday at 9 AM and be met by our staff and head out to the duck hunting lodge and the duck blinds for your first day of Uruguay duck hunting.
  
  
• Get your deposits for the trip to Los Gauchos to have your week secure. We receive emails, phone calls, and letters from individuals wanting to book a Uruguay duck hunting trip. We want to make sure everyone has their preferred week, so by sending in your 50% deposit the week is yours.
  
  
• Start filling out the Pre-Trip forms. Forms and information we need to process a hunting license and gun license for our duck hunters--Customer Data Form, Gun Information Sheet, and Signature of having read the Terms and Conditions. This can all be done online (we will send you the website) or by fax or email or even US post office service.
